Former President Joseph R. Biden’s recent revelation of his late-stage prostate cancer has stunned the world but has had a silver lining: his announcement has intensified the spotlight on men’s health and perhaps motivated thousands to undergo annual physicals.

One aspect of health and wellness that men should not ignore is healthy testosterone production and cortisol management.

In middle age, many men go through what’s been called “andropause,” and for good reason. Just as women going through menopause experience loss in estrogen production, testosterone production in men subsides dramatically. “Low T” increases fatigue and reduces sexual desire and ability to perform. Men with reduced testosterone notice increase in belly fat, feeling more tired and a low mood, loss of libido and reduced sexual ability and performance.

Today’s high-stress environment affects men’s testosterone as stress increases cortisol production, and cortisol is the villain. This “fight or flight” hormone, when excessive and chronic, impairs normal production of testosterone, as well as luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone – these two hormones are necessary to produce testosterone.

LJ100®:  Men’s Best (Supplement) Friend

The world’s most researched Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia) – LJ100® — has been shown repeatedly to promote a favorable anabolic balance in men, resulting in renewed virility and increased strength. And for overall healthy aging men, this supplement can help protect their wellness.

We have the scientific proof of LJ100’s powerful male hormone balancing effects. Here is a sample (for more research details and studies, please contact me).

Young men typically have testosterone levels of approximately 1,000 ng/dl.  In a saliva test in men, the oldest volunteer, age 52, achieved a 70% increase in testosterone after LJ100® consumption, peaking at 765 ng/dl at the study’s conclusion.

LJ100® promotes a desirable anabolic state by maintaining low normal levels of cortisol and high normal testosterone levels during intense endurance exercise. Men who participated in a 24-hour mountain biking event, and who supplemented with 100 mg LJ100®, exhibited 32.3% lower cortisol levels and 16.4% higher testosterone amounts than the men in the placebo group. 1

A 12-week study of healthy men aged 30 and 55 who consumed 300 mg of LJ100® found several benefits. The LJ100® group showed higher scores in the overall Erectile Function domain in IIEF, sexual libido (14% by week 12), reduced sex hormone binding globulin, and loss of fat mass in those who were overweight.

Additionally, for men who are keen on fatherhood, the study showed that men who supplemented with LJ100® sperm motility increased 44% and semen volume increased 18.2%. 2

In a circumstantially related study, LJ100® improved parameters of sexual performance. Men with mild erectile dysfunction who supplemented with 200mg LJ100® showed statistically significant higher scores than the placebo group at 12 weeks in Erection Hardness Scale, Aging Males Symptom, and the Sexual Health Inventory for Men. Total testosterone in the LJ100 group increased by 10.36%.  3

Today’s health-minded man is more interested in natural ways to keep healthy, to look good and feel good for as long as possible at work, at home, in the bedroom and in the gym. When formulating for them, let LJ100® do the heavy lifting.

Men who consumed 600 mg LJ100® daily for two weeks showed higher testosterone (15%) and dramatically higher free testosterone (34%) than men in the placebo group. Here, the researchers theorized that “the increased testosterone levels could possibly be explained via activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-axis.” 4

Andropause, or more clinically known as Androgen Deficiency of Aging Males (impacting up to 12% of the middle-aged male population globally), is known to also trigger loss in muscle mass. Researchers wanted to see if LJ100 along with concurrent training can improve both sexual response and gains in the gym. In their study, they gave 45 men with clinical symptoms of ADAM either 100 mg or 200 mg LJ100® with training – and without. They found that the combination of 200 mg LJ100® and concurrent training improved erectile function and increased total testosterone levels, increasing over time: 27.11% at 1 month, 21.98% at 4 months, and 48.01% at 6 months.  5

In another 6-month study of the same cohort of men with ADAM, the researchers analyzed the effects of a CT associated with LJ100® supplementation in the muscle strength, cardiorespiratory fitness, and symptomatology score of men with ADAM. The serum levels of testosterone, body fat, waist circumference (WC), and serum lipid profile. The results showed that the CT, alone or combined with EL consumption, significantly improved the isometric and isokinetic knee extension and flexion muscles strength, testosterone levels, cardiorespiratory fitness, and ADAM symptomatology. 6

LJ100® has more benefits for men, too – such as immune support, and it acts as an adaptogen. For men whose stress is high, which also impacts sexual function, LJ100® can help provide balance and support overall vibrant and virile quality of life.
